This facility is a jail, a juvenile jail, but a jail nonetheless which houses young people who are accused (some convicted) of serious offenses including murder, armed robbery, carjacking, etc. These young people need direction, someone to care, spend time with them, show them a better way. Read

A common frustration we've heard from independent artists repeatedly over two decades of producing local music television shows is that solo artists and bands have in many cases passed on opportunities to sign with labels because the required terms were just not in their long term interest. For instance, one of the very first things many record labels want to do is identify a category or genre for the artist to fit in. Typically, it's a category that's well established and requires little additional definition. Secondly, they'll want to target a specific portion of the artist's musical catalogue that they feel is "commercial." They'll scoop that up and pump it out as quickly as possible in a way that will define that artist, sometimes permanently.  Read

New Orleans Live Debuts This Fall


In an effort to export New Orleans’ greatest natural resource to a worldwide audience, a local production team is launching a one hour music program called “New Orleans Live.” This latest venture will build on the team’s previous success with Louisiana Jukebox, a one hour music show featuring three bands performing live in front of a studio audience. In its heyday, Louisiana Jukebox reached over eight million homes on cable and small to medium sized broadcast television stations in the southeast region during its eight year run from 1996 through 2004.
